Hello Yellow

My weekend wear consisted of jeans and yellow shoes.

For Saturdays outfit I wore my new Kate Spade pumps. These were my purchase from my yellow picks. I have to admit I was expecting them to be bright but not this bright! Nonetheless, after my husband encouraged me to wear them I kept the rest out my outfit simple.

Heels:Kate Spade

Top: Express

Sunday was waking up late, relaxing and shopping. To be comfortable it was another day in jeans and yellow shoes, but this time my yellow crochet Toms.

Slipons: Toms, yellow no longer available.

September Style Challenges Days 4-7

Getting back to work after our vacation was hard but the upside was that I returned to only two days before the weekend came.

Back to work outfit for Thursday was my print dress from TJMaxx to continue this months style challenges; this piece is so versatile and loud and proud. This dress can be worn with different colored shoes, black as I have worn it and also pink blue and even nude heels. The pink of this dress was my loud and proud because it is a bright pink, not truly captured in the pictures. The blue in my Marc Jacobs handbag is also a loud color.

Casual Friday outfit was this stripped t-shirt dress, black flats and yellow handbag. I am doing several challenges but of course I can’t always do all in one day but I was able to do three for this day; my type of stripes, all about accessories and clothing from target. My bags are always my accessory but added is also my ankle bracelet.

Saturday came early, at least it did for me, and when it did the style challenges were fun. First style challenge I participated was Luscious Lippie and I wore my Chanel lip definer Rose Corail, love this color and loved it even more because it was a gift from one of my cousins! Second challenge was borrowed from the boys. My jeans served for that challenge as jeans were once only worn by boys but we borrowed them and made them better. Women have so many choices when it comes to choosing jeans and they can be found for many different body including mine, curvy. My top is from hollister and this top was a gift some years back. I actually have this shirt in two colors, this blue and a pink, which were both given to me as birthday gifts.

Sunday was a lazy one as I got to sleep in while my husband went out to play Sunday ball. Once I woke up I got ready to head on out to go to kohls to spend my $10 rewards. This shopping was part of my Sunday shopper style challenge and in going I got this flamingo Lauren Conrad shirt on sale for $14, less the coupon. This shirt was also my something new on the something old and new challenge, and also the other two animal print challenges. My jeans and my bag along with my bow sandals are all old items previously worn many times. The last challenge was favorite bag, my favorite yellow bag (only yellow bag). This challenge is for the whole week so I plan in changing my bag on a daily basis this week.

The End of August Style Challenges

The august style challenges on Instagram ended but now September begins. I wasn’t able to keep up with all the challenges but here is how I styled my looks for the last week of August.

Two Sundays ago was fun and games with my Yellow Kate Spade handbag, gap jeans, old express t-shirt, black and white toms (which I got at half off!) and my old Chanel sunglasses. Super comfy aren’t we was the style challenge for this day. I was comfy enough for the drive down to the casino.

Monday came and I wept as the week started marking the end of the fun weekend. I kept my bright yellow bag as my Summer Bling challenge.
I am glad I kept my yellow bag as my accessory to lighten up my outfit as I wore black on black with my leopard print Michael Kors flats. I guess I should consider wearing lighter colors for summer. Oh summer is coming to an end but not yet! We still have a couple days before it does and I sure am wearing white after Labor Day!

Tuesday Shoesday approached and the style challenges consisted of, pencils and pumps, too new or worn too much, and colored shoes. My Charles David pumps served for all 3 challenges. These colored pumps are fairly new but compared to my other heels they will be my worn too much item. For my complete business look I wore grey slacks and a white blouse along with my Marc Jacobs handbag.

Wednesday came and so did a job fair. For this day I didn’t do any style challenges as I had to wear a black company shirt for the fair, so I kept my outfit all black down to my pumps. When I got home and kicked of my heels, my little brat was there to greet.

Thursday, almost Friday! Reason why Thursdays don’t seem so bad is because they are perceived as just that… almost Friday. For the style challenges Totally T and Chambray I wore my Turquoise Michael Kors Handbag. I got this bag last year during the summer on sale at Macys. This years similar color for Mk is Aqua. It’s has more of a green tone to it compared with this bag. I didn’t have any other T item to wear for this challenge other than this bag… this means I need Tan heels. Not a bad idea as fall is near. My Chambray look are these slacks I got at NY&Co from the buy one pant get second FREE sale! Reason why I get my dress pants here is because they always have petite in stock. These are short pants but if worn without heels they drag, I’m that short.

Friday!!! At last it was Friday. The style challenges were a little weird but one was straight forward, green machine. Sine every Friday is casual wear at work I went for my stripped green and navy maxi skirt. My shirt is a mint green t-shirt from Old Navy, nude bow sandals and my yellow purse.

Hello Outrageous Yellow

Sunday came and went and when it did we headed out to the park to see the hubby play baseball. Yes, I’m a baseball wifey to a Sunday leaguer.

Day 17 style challenge was Outrageous (price, color etc) and Hello Yellow. My yellow Kate Spade handbag covered both challenges. I took this bag to the park this Sunday because it was perfect to back my baby Nicco’s stuff. This yellow bag isn’t available but similar is linked below.

To complete my look I wore my bow sandals to show off my bright toes purchased on sale at Macys for $11! Polka dot skirt from old navy and old Gucci sunglasses.

Yellow Handbag: Similar Here and Here
Shirt: Old Navy
Sandals: Rampage
