Date Night

Since I’m catching up and I haven’t posted my outfits in over a week here is another one that a captured from two weeks ago.
I needed an outfit that took me from day to night as we had plans to attend a local concert of a band my husband and I listened to when we were growing up. I wear black trousers all the time and this day was no exception. I wore my black and white window pane top and added color to my lips and my shoes. I got this pair on sale at Nordstrom Rack but they are now available on sale at 6pm.

Here are clips of Los Tigres Del Norte. They are an older band so they don’t sound the same as when they were young but it was fun watching them as it brought back so many memories of my childhood. The last time they were in town we were in Cancun so we weren’t able to go. My husband had been wanting to go see them for a while and being surprised with tickets that same day got me some wifey points!

Another Weekend

Hello! Another weekend another adventure. Well not really but I do have some outfits to share from past weekends. 
First outfit was from two weeks ago when I attended a kids bday party. Although fall had officially started the weather was still in summer mode (still is). I wore my white Jennifer Lopez jeans for Kohl’s, an old floral top, my black and white slip-ons, and my MK handbag. Added color to my lips wearing Smashbox lipstick in Femme Fatale. Comfortable for a day at the park.  
   
Jeans: these are the only white Jennifer Lopez jeans online but Old Navy has a similar style for under $30.

This is not an outfit but wanted to share anyways as it was a good Sunday morning with my family. My cousins and I took our little niece to go watch Disney’s Three Classic Fairy Tales, and I have to say as a grown up I enjoyed it. My little niece was sad the show ended want wanted “more.” Here are some short clips from the show.  

   
Last weekend we stayed home and relaxed, which was needed to start Monday all over again. Only thing we did was go out to dinner but I still felt like putting on some lipstick to go out to dinner with the family. I wore my Lauren Conrad booties for Kohl’s and my leopard sweater top from H&M, got this top last year but there are similar available this year. On my lips is my current favorite liquid lipstick Stilla in Aria.

My Fall Picks

My closet is currently a mess because I haven’t been able to remove all my summer clothes and boxed it up because we are expecting the temperature to rise up again next weekend, even after the showers this weekend. Seems we will be going from Summer to Winter here… Oh that Cali weather. In the meantime here are some of my new fall picks. 
 Let’s start with this yellow knit sweater I picked up from H&M. It’s lightweight for now but can be layered later when the weather starts to cool down a bit more. 

 Next is this v-neck top from Express. A little more business like for the days when I have meetings. Got this same top in mint earlier in the year and now this olive color.  

 Now on to dresses. First dress is from Old Navy. Nothing wrong with some florals for fall. The color tones on this dress differ it from summer and with a pair of booties or my olive pumps to match I am fall ready.  

 Next is this long sleeve belted dress from Forever21. Dress it up with a pair of heels for work or dress it down with a pair of boots for the weekend.  

 I’ve noticed I’ve worn too much black on black these last couple of weeks so I picked up these berry colored pants from Express. 

 I did more damaged but these were the 5 items I wanted to share for this fall. What are your fall picks?

Getting into Fall

Fall has begun but Summer is still lingering in So Cal with some days hitting 90*. Scarfs and comfy oversized sweaters will have a wait just a bit longer. 
Since I didn’t share my End of Summer outfit I am sharing it now with this catch up post. I wore my white cropped pants from NY&Co with my mint top from Express along with my SJP Collection Fawn pumps in Metallic Pink. I wanted to get these shoes earlier in the year but I decided to wait for the sale which was worth it because I was able to get both the pink and the blue metallic.

For the First Day of Fall I took my new Henri Bendel Uptown handbag out of the closet. I guess it’s a popular color because this color is sold out. It might be because the beautiful Olivia Palmero was spotted with it, or maybe it’s just the bag.
