Sunday Sweater

June gloom is in full effect in SoCal and I’m sticking to lightweight sweaters. Waking up to a gloomy day, sunny afternoon and expecting the evening to be a little cool, my sweater will do the trick for an all day wear.

Today was Sunday ball with the hubby. It had been a while since I’ve gone to watch him play so today felt like a good day to head on out to the park.

My outfit consist of my MK slip-ons, jeans and this Marvel sweater I got for Christmas two years ago. It may be from two years back but I’ve recently seen this exact sweater at Ross for under $10! When your shopping those racks keep an eye out, well if you shop at Ross. I actually wore this sweater on the plane when we went to Hawaii. Planes are always cold and I hate big bulky sweaters when traveling but this sweater was perfect for the occasion.

Matching my sweater with this Mac lip pencil in Brick and my red MK handbag.

Happy Sunday!!!

Shoe of the Week

As you may already know I have a serious shoe addiction and oh how I love the SJP Collection. I have lost count of the number of shoes I have from this line and repeats in different colors is the main cause. My repeat offenders are the Fawn, Lady and Carrie. I love the style of the Carrie but Fawn is my favorite because it is comfortable and classy.

The hubby says I am bad when it comes to shoes and purses but then again he feeds my addiction. I had shared these shoes with him earlier this year and the price tag was not something he was found of. Most of the shoes in the collection start at $350 and reality is they are a hefty price, not like other high end brands but they can still make a difference in the pocket. So when they went on sale for $139.97 they were a steal at 60% off! I’ve gotten several pairs of this collection for this percentage and that makes me a happy  shoelover.

Anyways here are the shoes my hubby just bought me, Denise from the SJP Collection.

Red Lip

What was suppose to be a relaxing and fun weekend became staying in bed, taking my vitamin C and fighting a bug. I started to feel bad on Saturday and told my husband we were staying in. Not so bad as I got to watch the Belmont Stakes as history was made. Sunday came waking up a little worst I stayed in bed all morning and enjoyed watching the French Open Finals, I was cheering for Novak but it was a great match regardless of the winner. For the evening staying in wasn’t what my hubby had in mind so I made the effort of getting up and getting ready for a fast dinner followed by some mild shopping.

I picked up two dresses at Ross as we are anticipating a brutal summer. Nonetheless, sneakers were my choice of shoes and red was the color for yesterday’s outfit. It’s funny how a little lip color can make a difference. I picked up this color back in February but never wore it until yesterday. The lipstick I wore is Red Lizard from Nars. I love it because it’s semi matte. As much as I like the way matte lipstick looks on others, on me it looks awful because my lips tend to be dry all the time. Wearing a matte lipstick emphasizes my peeling lips and well it doesn’t look cute.

Hope you have a good week as I started my week on the left foot wearing all black, current mood…oh well tomorrow will be another day.

Flamingo Friday

Happy Friday everyone! I honestly can’t believe how fast this week went by. The last two days I didn’t wear anything worthy of sharing as I was crazy busy at work and my look was not a priority. Nonetheless, today I woke up with an uplifted attitude, because it’s Friday of course, and felt like wearing pink.

Keeping it Casual with my jeans for work, today I decided to take out my Pink Falingo shirt. I got this top over the weekend at Target for $15. I’ve always loved going to target but didn’t really visit their clothing selection until last year and so far I have picked up a few items from there. Im sure I’ll be wearing this top again with my pink Charles David heels, but trading the jeans for trousers.
