Feeling Sad

I am officially on a shoe diet…NO! I am not allowed to buy another pair of heels until May. This will be the longest month and a half. Can’t spend, need to save…my weakness. I’m in pain. It’s crazy how an object can make you feel sad or happy.

Wish me luck because I need strength to refrain from swiping my card.

My Nude Picks

With Spring already here nude shoes are essential as they can lighten any outfit and go great with whites, pastels and floral prints.

How much to spend on a nude shoe is totally up to you. If you do decide to splurge the benefit is that you can wear it year round and not to forget they elongate your legs, great for short ladies like me.

A classic pump is always a plus in your closet. Some of us prefer pointy over round toe but regardless of your  preference here are my nude picks.

Ivanka Tump Sophia $109.95. This pump being 3 1/2 inches with a 1/2 inch platform makes it a great pump that can be worn all day.

vs. Splurge

Christian Louboutin New Simple $755. The splurge aspect is the lovely Red Sole that can be taken from day to night.

If pointy is your style…

Topshop Gemini2 $70. Simple pointy pump that doesn’t break your bank.

vs. Splurge

Saint Laurent Paris $595. Don’t know what I love more the name or the color… It’s the color. Nude for me is more like tan due to my skin tone so for that alone this is my splurge pick.

The beauty about heels is that they come in many styles. We don’t always have to stay with plain heels, instead we can lift our attitude by wearing a fun and sexy heel.

BCBG Darron $69.95. This heel isn’t available in nude but I had to share as the option to save on the look.

vs. Splurge

Valentino Rockstud $995. A huge splurge I know but these heels are just too gorgeous not to be a part of my picks.

With pedicure season here I couldn’t forget about the sandal style heel.

Steve Madden Stecy $89. A heel that can be worn with that spring/summer dress or as simple as jeans and a tee.

vs. Splurge

Manolo Blahnik Chaos Cuff $725. A total splurge for the style but have to admit that Manolo does make comfortable heels.

Hello Spring

Hello spring, although some days here in So Cal have felt like summer already. Today I’m wearing my guess floral pumps to welcome the season along with MK pink tote.

Nothing like having fresh flowers on the table.

New season new shoes can’t wait to share my new heels for this spring/summer. But my hefty investment is a year round nude pump. Stay tune to see what came in the mail this week!

Green Day

If you celebrated St. Patricks Day hope you had a great time without hitting the floor. In honor of St. Pats I wore my SJP heels yesterday, keeping the color on my feet.

I love how a pair of colored heels can brighten up any outfit. As much as I love this pair I need to use them less as preserve them as they are my pair signed by SJP herself.

I think I have managed to get all the colors I need from the SJP Collection, for the time being, that I am ready to spurlge on other types of heels, but before I do I need to start organizing my spring/summer clothing and possible vacation wear.

Heels are no longer available but shop SJP Collection at NordstromNeiman Marcus and Zappos.

Casual Red

I haven’t been keeping up with my style challenges on IG or posting much here so I thought I catch up a little by posting Friday’s casual outfit.

I was very matchy matchy and went with my SJP Collection Red Carrie pumps and my new Red MK Colette handbag. It’s hard for me to buy a handbag at a full retail price; unless I really love it and want it right away, or it’s a high end brand that I know will never be on sale. LV and Chanel will never be on sale and if you see it on sale online it’s probably a fake as these brands tend to raise their prices every year. I’ve always dreamed in getting my hands on a Chanel Wallet on a Chain but reality is I won’t be able to save for a beauty like that…well I rather save for travel.

My Colette bag was purchased as a pre-sale at 25% off right when it came out at Macy’s. The only downside was waiting for it for almost two weeks, which was no problem. I got this bag in my hands last month but had not worn it until this past Friday. I have a pink bag which still needs to be taken out of the closet as well but I was waiting for Spring to come and now that’s it’s here I can’t wait to pair it off with my pink SJP Carrie (yes I have it in four colors). Macy’s always has a sale and although sometimes designer goods aren’t applicable for discounts I have managed I get all of my MK handbags purchased from Macy’s at a discount. Got to save somewhere to be able to buy more shoes!

The red SJP Carrie is no longer available but there are other colors at  NordstromNeiman Marcus and Zappos.
