Bag of the Week

Happy Friday!!!
Oh how tiring this whole week has been. I haven’t been in the mood or had time to capture any of my outfits. So instead I’m sharing my new pink Michael Kors Dillon handbag.

I first say this bag during the holidays and I wanted to buy it but wanted to wait for it to go on sale. This bag was part of my Christmas Wish List. I purchased this bag in red when it went on sale at Macy’s but returned it when I got the pink one as a gift from the hubby.

This tote is similar to the Hamilton but of course it doesn’t have the signature lock that the Hamilton has. I love my Hamilton tote, color and all, but what I don’t love about it is that the weight of the lock makes the bag lose it’s shape.

Blessed

Last weekend the hubby took my family (brother and father, my immediate fam is small) and I to the PBR as an early birthday celebration. It was great because I got spend time with my fam by watching something that reminds me of my childhood. My father in his prime time loved the sport and my brother and I grew up watching it on TV. Although, we did get to see my dad ride a couple of times before my mom said enough!

Along with an early birthday celebration we celebrated the memory of my mother. Last weekend marked 7 years of her passing. I just can’t believe how time has gone by so fast. Doesn’t make a difference of how long it’s been because every day that goes by I miss her as if it was yesterday. When I think of her I can’t help get sad but then I remember how she was such an extraordinary person, always caring of others and such a loving mother to my brother and I. Then I can’t help but feel extremely proud and blessed to have her as my mother. I truly thank God for giving me an amazing and wonderful person to call mom.

On a brighter note here is what I wore last weekend.

Recent Buys

Shoes, shoes and more shoes. As I mentioned before the SJP Collection is now available at Zappos and some favorites (my favs) returned. I was able to get the Lady Pump in both green and purple when it went on sale at Nordstrom, but unfortunately the red was sold out immediately. Now I added the Red to my collection along with the Pink (Fuschia) Carrie! Colors that are absolutely perfect for this month.

I purchased the Carrie from Neiman Marcus, but it is also available at Zappos. I wasn’t able to capture the true color of the shoe because the lighting is awful. Difference in this SJP shoe from all my others in the collection is the black ribbon.

There will be days

There will be days when you will be blamed for things you did not do. There will be days when you will reach out to others and you will be turned down. And then there will be days when you stop caring about what others think about you and just do what makes you happy. There will be days…

November Outfits

I can’t believe November is gone and soon so will December. As much as I love shopping during the holidays I am not a fan due to the crowds. Now I have been clicking away on the web instead. I was able to get pants from Express for work at 50% off… And other great deals from other stores as well.

Now it’s time to catch up with the outfits.

For a casual Friday I wore my black jeans, oversized burgundy sweater and my black Ralph Lauren ridding boots.

Next is an outfit I wore for a Saturday night. Jeans, grey leather jacket and my teal Fawn Pumps from the SJP Collection. I absolutely love this pair and I am glad I splurged and treated myself. Unfortunately these pumps are not available in most sizes.

Sunday Funday with the hubby came and it was time to hit the casino, yes we have an addiction. We actually made it to the casino but turned right back home due to the issues the place was having with their slot machines. On our way back we stopped at Nordstrom Rack. My husband was able to find a pair of shoes for himself as I browsed the ladies watches. As we headed out the door my husband turned back around and bought me a watch. I didn’t want him to spend money on a watch as I haven’t had my MJ watch for that long but he insisted, I couldn’t argue. For my outfit I went with comfort; jeans, sweater shirt and riding boots.

Thanksgiving arrived and my SJP Purple Lady Pumps came out to dinner. Jeans and a sweater from Forever21 completed my look.
