A Little Leopard

Hello Monday! Aren’t you all glad it’s Monday? I bet otherwise. The weekend went by so fast and I didn’t get a chance clear out our suitcases. Nonetheless I got to do some minor shopping as I shared yesterday. No big damage to the wallet…thinking of wallet! Anyways hope you had a lovely weekend with your loved ones.
Today’s outfit is simple black and gray with a pair of leopard pumps. I came across this pair of when I was looking for my floral pumps. I came across a lovely pair of Ivanka Trump floral heels but decided to go with the Guess pair instead. At that time I only allowed myself one pair so these were placed on my wish list… which now has been checked off.  My wish list of heels never stops and it only keeps growing, I am starting to think it’s a sickness! What am I saying shoe collection is a hobby right?

Sunday Shopping

While the hubby headed out to his baseball game I headed out to the mall and hit blommindales as they were having the take $25off for every $100 you spend.

So what did I buy? Well with summer around the corner I needed a new pair of sandals. My first thought was just to replace my tan sandals but I went for a pair of black sandals instead.

Cancun

I’m back and I’m sad. I can’t believe our trip to Cancun came and went so fast. We had a great time that we wish we were still on vacation. Our time there was short but well worth it. A couple of days are better than no days at all.

We took the red eye flight and I thought I would be able sleep on the flight but the movies available made it hard to close my eyelids. Since it was a night flight I wore my sweatpants and sweatshirt along with a pair of bejeweled sandals, comfort was my priority.

We arrived to the hotel had breakfast and headed to the beach to sleep. Our first day was relaxation on the beach until it was time to get ready for dinner. I wore my floral dress purchased about three years ago.

One of our excursions was to Xcaret. The park was nice itself but the show to end the night was just lovely. We explored the park and then swam the three rivers with caves, which was tiring at the end of the day.  I wore a light dress as I knew there would be a lot of waking and swimming for the day. Anchors away!

Anchor Dress :Here, found many online but this one is budget friendly.

Chichen Itza was our next excursion, before arriving there we stopped at a cenote, water whole, were we ate and had the opportunity to swim some more. My outfit was jeans, toms, light shirt, straw hat and shades. Glad I wore closed toe shoes. Many girls had sandals on but had their feet covered in dirt by the end of the day.

On all the vacations we have gone on snorkeling is one of the activities I always like to do, Cancun was no exception. We got on a catamaran and headed to Isla de Mujeres. We did some snorkeling on our way there. Once on land we headed to the beach and got in the water for a bit before retuning back to the catamaran to go to a private beach where we got to eat and do some sun bathing. I wore my pink dress from Old Navy then wore my white coverup.

My return outfit was a long comfortable dress purchased at Marshall’s for under $20.

Simple Teal

Hello Tuesday and Hello to my blue suede shoes. Since I didn’t want to break my head selecting an outfit this morning I reached for my t-shirt dress from Target. I started shopping for clothes at Target last year when I saw a couple of t-shirts and a maxi skirt on sale. From time to time when we do household shopping I head on over to their clothing department and search the clearance rack. Since then I have purchased a couple of sweaters which I wear often to work along with two dresses that I use for work as well. A couple of the purchases from Target have resulted in stripped clothing like this dress.

I added my Teal SJP Collection Fawn today as part of the style challenges on Instagram, not that I need an excuse to wear these lovely heels. They are so comfortable but so delicate that I might have to store them for a while before I wear them again. They were an in investment and I have to preserve them. I purchased these at Nordstrom last year soon after the collection launched. Select colors at Nordstrom are available for the Fawn pump but see link below for the Teal color at Zappos.

Spring Purple

No style challenges for me today as I was not in the mood to getting ready this morning.  I decided to go with an all black attire.  Not a lot of wardrobe excitement I know, but I’m super excited as my vacation is oh so close. Before I say farewell to this smoggy city and smell the fresh breeze of the ocean, I want to share with you my Saturday outfit.

I’m trying to stay away from purchasing new items especially shoes as I want to save for a special pair of heels that would consider some splurging  in the near future, not that I need any more. In doing so I had to dig into my closet this weekend and take out an old top for my outfit. I found this floral one, believe it was purchased from Macy’s maybe about 5 years ago, I know I am a hoarder. Decided to wear it and matched it with my purple SJP Collection Lady pump. Since I kept my outfit purple I went for a bright pink lip. To finish my look I grabbed my favorite handbag.

SJP Lady: color no longer available but check the teal at Zappos

***Update: Color now available at Zappos!

On a side note I am thrilled for this summer as my favorite band is going on tour. They released a new single and an album is to be released later this month. New Album equals tour! And I am so there!!! I was so happy to have been able to get a pair of tickets for their upcoming concert. Unfortunately for many, the tickets are sold out and only available through re-sale sites which are two times as expensive. If I wanted to make a profit I can resale my tickets and make about $500! Maybe a re-sale for new shoe splurge!
